BISS VA Beach October 28

Marley's first HSDAA show October 27th, 2007 was a bit disappointing.  The weather was rainy, and Marley just was not into it.  The next day October 28th, was a different picture, no rain... just a VERY cool breeze.  Marley arrived  with her game face on!  Winning her Provisional Puppy Bitch class was very rewarding as a breeder/ have her go on to take Best In Breed was thrilling to say the least!

Marley's Cuban style was really appreciated by judge Karin Ashe.

That weekend Marley earned 10 points toward her HSDAA Championship.

BOS puppy sweepstakes

Two weeks after the Virginia Beach show, Marley was entered in the
Blue Ridge Havanese Specialty at the
Furniture City Kennel  Club,
Greensboro, NC show on November 10th, 2007.

Judge Howard M. Yost was the judge for the Puppy Sweepstakes, and awarded Marley
Best of Opposite Sex.

BISS Group 3

After showing well in the Puppy Sweepstakes, Marley went on to take first place in the Bred By Exhibitor class, winner's bitch class, and then Best of Breed!  I was ready to get out of my "show clothes" after all of that when a friend reminded me, that we still had the Toy Group to compete in.

At the young age of 11 months, Marley took a Group 3! (third place) in the Toy Group that day.  We both look a bit tired in this photo, but it surely was a fun day <grin>  At this point Marley has 6 points toward her AKC Championship title.  A big thanks to judge Toddie Clark.

Dec 2007 Reserve

Marley had a lot of fun at the Virginia Beach Show in December 2007 despite the rain!  Sunday she was placed Reserve Winner's Bitch.

HSDAA Jr. CH By The Bay Stir It Up

Drum roll please...
. Presenting HSDAA Jr. CH By The Bay Stir It Up, "Marley"!

Marley earned her Junior Championship at the Kissimmee FL, HSDAA shows February 23rd, and 24th.

NAKC Best Op

While at the HSDAA show in Florida, Marley also participated in her first NAKC show, and took Best of Opposite Sex for a 5 point major!  Way to go Marley!

The fun with Marley continued in
Norfolk, Va at the Battleship Classic
NAKC show April 13th, 2008.
After winning her class and breed, Marley
went on to take a group 1, and then
Reserve Best In Show.  In the second show
Marley again took her class and breed and
a group 2 to finish her
NAKC Int Championship!

Both JIMKA Felicitous By The Bay,
"Windy" and Cory made their debuts
at the Battleship Classic in Norfolk, VA.

I can't tell you how proud I was of them both.  What a team they are... I expect to see many more wins from these two.

Windy earned her first 3 points at this show by taking Best of Opposite sex.

Marley's favorite venue to show
is with all her Havana Silk Dog Friends
Her conformation was again noted at
the Corporal Klinger Classic
May 3rd, and 4th
in Toledo, OH.  The judges both days
awarded Marley an Award of Merit.

The weekend of June 21st and 22nd was a special weekend indeed...
At the Blue Ridge Silk Lovers HSDAA show in Richmond, VA., Cory showed Windy and was awarded 4 points each day.  Windy finished with 4 major wins, and is now,
HSDAA & AKC Ch JIMKA Felicitous By The Bay!  I'm so proud of my girls.

Lizzie, "Bydand Impatiens By The Bay," also made her debut that weekend, earning 5 points towards her championship.  Combined with the awesome camaraderie, the weekend couldn't have been more pleasant!

BOS Los Milagritos Evita By The bay

Evita came out of the starting gate with a bang placing Best of Opposite Sex Saturday May 16th, 2009 in St. Petersburg, Florida.  Evita earned 9 points that first  weekend toward her HSDAA championship!

Feliz Pied Piper By The Bay Toledo

I think Piper enjoyed showing off for his gramma Beth.  Judge Liz Simon was very complementary of Piper's silky coat, and balanced conformation.

Now that he's matured a bit, his show attitude is more under control, and he was awarded an Award of Merit of Saturday July 25th, 2009.

New Champion Best Rising Star

On Sunday at the Corporal Klinger Classic Cory took Best Rising Star handling Evita, and also finished Evita's HSDAA Jr. Championship.  Way to go girls!

Piper continued his streak on Sunday at the Corporal Klinger Classic, and was awarded an Award of Merit again, and earned his HSDAA Jr. Championship.   What a fun boy to show.

CH Los Milagritos Evita By The Bay

Judge Rita Figg honored Evita with an Award of Merit at the Regional Specialty in Virginia Beach, VA during the National Specialty Weekend.  Great way to start the weekend!

CH Feliz Pied Piper By The Bay

After being a goof ball for his grammy Beth on Friday, Piper decided to behave for me and earned himself an Award of Merit at the 2009 National Specialty.  Yeah Piper!

Best Rising Star

Cory has really made wonderful progress as a handler.  Cory handled Perlita for Fern and Lee and finished her Championship, and then handled Windy and was judged Best Rising Star at the 2009 National Specialty!  Great weekend girls!
